Location
Room 1 Calouste Gulbenkian FoundationSome bodies learn to speak up early. Lúcia Baronesa and Eva Rap Diva tore up the silence with strength, intelligence and presence. Through their stories we delve into themes such as representativeness, intersectional feminism and social justice, always with the street as a backdrop and the microphone as an instrument of liberation. In this conversation they talk about how Hip Hop can be a school of critical thinking, affirmation and belonging.
About the cycle of talks
Following a programming logic more geared towards the Hip Hop movement, a counter-culture movement that was born as an expression of the dissatisfaction, rebellion and contestation of peripheral bodies, and taking into account the most recent events that have brought the discussion about the right to dignity and housing into the public sphere, this series of talks was conceived by Cláudia Semedo as a place for intervention by the new builders of an idea of community that breaks with the stigma placed on the Neighbourhoods and their People.
