Umafricana's DJ sets return to the Summer Garden 2024 for a vibrant journey through the contagious rhythms of the African continent.

Sandra Baldé, also known as Umafricana, is a DJ, writer and entrepreneur, with a passion for art and music. At the end of 2021 she made her DJ debut at Beyoncé Fest in Lisbon and the following year she began to explore other musical styles in solo sets.

She has performed at some of the most prestigious venues in Lisbon, Porto and the Algarve – such as Musicbox, Lux, Maus Hábitos, Plano B, Dice Vilamoura, among many others – and at major festivals, namely NOS Alive, Festival Iminente, MIL, Summer Garden and Festa Criola.

Focusing on the fusion between afrobeat, amapiano, coupé decalé, gqom, afrohouse, kuduro and afrotech and the sounds of pop, hip pop and r&b, her sets offer a journey through the rhythmic sounds of the African continent.
