In the fado tradition, the same melody may be sung to different poems. Between the 1920s and 1950s, Fado became professional with a new network of Fado houses with the repertoire expanded by the intense collaboration of new composers and new popular poets. Featuring works by Alfredo Marceneiro, Joaquim Campos, Armandinho and others.
