Cartão Gulbenkian and Cartão Gulbenkian Mais holders are invited to attend the rehearsal of Elijah, Felix Mendelssohn’s monumental oratorio, conducted by maestro Hannu Lintu.

Considered one of the most significant oratorios of the 19th century, Elijah combines the grandeur of the choral and orchestral traditions inherited from Bach and Handel with a score of remarkable emotional intensity. Chosen by Hannu Lintu to mark the close of the season, this is an opportunity to experience a work that brings together the Gulbenkian Choir and Gulbenkian Orchestra on stage.

Please note that the choice of works rehearsed, as well as the order in which they are performed, is entirely at the discretion of the conductor and may change at any time. The duration of the rehearsal may vary according to the artistic and technical requirements of the preparation.

Cartão Gulbenkian programme has a limited capacity. If you can’t attend, please cancel your ticket. Enter your MyGulbenkian account, open the “Tickets” section, and click “Cancel”.
