Considered one of the great works in the violin and orchestra repertoire, the concerto was written for the legendary violinist Fritz Kreisler and immortalised by musicians such as Yehudi Menuhin and Itzhak Perlman in landmark performances.

The rehearsal duration is variable and depends on the artistic and technical requirements of the preparation.
