Royal portraits: blind photography workshop

Event Slider

This workshop focuses on the Visiting Artwork, Portrait of Philip IV, by Diego Velázquez, to ponder the notions of what is essential and what is accessory in portrait and self-portrait.

In a portrait, where is the line that separates the visible from what goes unseen? Are we seeing what is most important? In a workshop led by blind photographer Aliu Baio and photojournalist João Silva, we explore the power of the non-visible image to create the ideal portrait.
