Guided tour of the exhibition that brings together works of art, videos, musical pieces and various documents and offers a journey through Brazilian culture.
Complexo Brasil is a major exhibition occupying both galleries of the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation and based on the premise that what we call Brazil (which is composed of many Brazils) is the complex result of a colonial process of great proportions and consequences.
The exhibition aims to offer Portuguese and Brazilians, through a shared mirror that engages us, a new discovery of Brazil that is also a reciprocal discovery. A discovery that is increasingly relevant and urgent at a time when the Brazilian presence in Portugal is so significant, based on dialogues and intersections, but also, so often, on perceptions and misunderstandings.
