A selection of favourite overtures and opera arias, along with exciting Viennese polkas, waltzes, and marches from the famous Strauss family, are combined in the programme of the Gulbenkian Orchestra’s first concert of the year at the Grand Auditorium. Continuing a tradition that has become popular, Gulbenkian Music invites you to its New Year’s Concert, this time conducted by the Italian rising star Clelia Cafiero. The Associate Conductor of the Opéra de Marseille will have the collaboration of the Lithuanian Asmik Grigorian, a singer described by The New York Times as “one of the fiercest dramatic talents in the field”.
