The concert programme brings together two remarkable works of sacred music: Poulenc’s Gloria, written in the context of his reconciliation with Catholicism, and Mozart’s Great Mass in C minor, a creation of extraordinary ambition and expressiveness, despite being unfinished and comparable in grandeur to the Requiem.
