Another story from the Muito me Contas! cycle, this time about a girl in Pakistan who dreams of a magical pencil to change the world.

“One child, one teacher, one book, and one pen can change the world”
— Malala Yousafzai

In Pakistan, a young girl dreams of a magic pencil that will bring all her wishes to life.

As she grows up, she awakens to the injustices, fears, and violence in the world around her.

She then realises that, even without a magic pencil, her writing has the power to speak for the most vulnerable and to advance the struggle for fundamental human rights, such as the right to education.

Muito me Contas! cycle

Scheherazade told stories for one thousand and one nights to change her destiny. Stories, and the people who tell them, often hold that power to transform the world around them and to change their lives and ours. Muito me Contas! is a storytelling cycle for families, presenting a new story in each session, told by a different artist. Inspired by the power of Scheherazade, the cycle is rooted in tales of strong female characters capable of turning the course of events, always opening onto new possibilities.
