The “Mais Alto!” project is a concert with commentary, created to celebrate the power of music as a space for shared dreams and voices of protest.

Can music change the world?
Can the world change music?
Throughout history, we’ve always dreamed of reaching new heights…: we want more. We want to reach higher. Not more of this, but definitely more of that. And often, right there beside us, were the songs saying it all. Singing things like: we will not tolerate racism. We want equal rights for women and men. Quality healthcare for everyone, with no exceptions. We want more libraries.
The protection of the planet. Fair wages. Humane working hours.
Things like that — serious, vital things. Things so powerful, they can’t be whispered.
