Conductor Giancarlo Guerrero returns to the stage at the beginning of this season to conduct a chamber version of Mahler’s 4th Symphony, a work that is rich in meanings at the intersection of poetry and the multifaceted sounds of the orchestra. Das Himmlische Leben (“The Heavenly Life”), which concludes the work, but is of great importance for its entire conception, will be sung by Romanian Goist Valentina Farcas, a singer with extensive experience in opera and concert repertoires of the classical and romantic periods.
