La Rondine

Met Opera Live in HD

Event Slider

Winner of two Grammys, Angel Blue is one of today’s most awarded and acclaimed sopranos. After playing the leading lady of Porgy and Bess in the opening show of the Met Opera 2019/20 season, and several returns to the New York venue, she will now give voice to Magda, the French courtesan from Puccini’s opera La rondine. In Nicolas Joël’s art decó-inspired staging, the action transitions from Parisian nightlife ebullience to the charm of the French Riviera.
