Cartão Gulbenkian Mais holders will be able to take part in an exclusive conversation with conductor Charlotte Corderoy, who will be conducting the Gulbenkian Orchestra at the upcoming Sunday Concert, ‘Fairy Tale’.

Honoured at the age of 27 as ‘Conductor of the Year 2025’ by The Critics’ Circle in the UK, the British conductor and educator Charlotte Corderoy already has a distinguished international career. She has conducted prestigious orchestras such as the Philharmonia Orchestra, the London Symphony Orchestra, the London Philharmonic Orchestra and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. In the field of opera, she made her debut at the English National Opera, the Opéra National de Lyon and the Volksoper in Vienna, amongst others.

Charlotte graduated with distinction from the University of Oxford and studied at the Royal Academy of Music, where she is currently Music Director of the Junior Musical Theatre department, and served as assistant conductor of the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra (2023–2025).

This is an opportunity to gain insight into the career path, ideas, and methods of a young conductor in an intimate and informal setting.

Cartão Gulbenkian Mais programme has a limited capacity. If you can’t attend, please cancel your ticket. Enter your MyGulbenkian account, open the “Tickets” section, and click “Cancel”.
