Here's my story! Tour for learning Portuguese as a foreign language

Combining the observation and interpretation of works of art with the knowledge and identity contexts of the participants, the conversation revolves around concepts such as “culture” and “identity,” “art” and “freedom,” and ends with a card game of words and images.

The tour takes place in three stages:

• The pre-tour, in which the teacher applies the pedagogical resources in the classroom;
• The tour to the Calouste Gulbenkian Museum, facilitated by a mediator from the educational team;
• The post-tour, in which the teacher systematizes the learning at the Museum with suggestions for classroom exercises.

This tour was developed in partnership with the Portuguese Refugee Council and co-created by Diana Pereira, Emma Andreetti, Isabel Galvão and Sofia Cabrita.
