Gulbenkian Garden, a landscape masterpiece

Event Slider

Walk around one of the most emblematic Modernist gardens with a guided tour aimed at private groups and be amazed by every corner where subtle geometry mimic nature itself and celebrate the Mediterranean landscape.

Designed in the 1960s by landscape architects António Viana Barreto and Gonçalo Ribeiro Telles, the Gulbenkian Park is a ‘micro-landscape’ that offers atmospheres instead of paths and flowerbeds. From the relationship between wooded areas and open spaces to the dazzling light and vigor of nature, discover the rationale behind this influential project of landscape architecture in Portugal.

This visit also includes the new garden area, in the south of the CAM, designed by landscape architect Vladimir Djurovic, as a natural extension of the original garden – a space for wildlife and the experience of nature.

All tours must be booked at least two weeks in advance. The visit is subject to weather conditions.

The visit in Portuguese costs 100,00 € per group and in other languages costs 120,00 € per group.

Duration: 90 min. Participants: 1 – 25 Language: Portuguese / English / French
