Location

Roseiral Gulbenkian Garden
Following a trail through the Garden, we shall explore our surroundings as true “pollinators”.

Do bees see and smell the world as we do?

Through olfactory games and identification activities, we shall observe, smell and compare flowers and aromatic plants, gaining a deeper understanding of how floral fragrances and colours attract bees, and how bees rely on their sense of smell to locate nectar sources.

Between nectar gathering and honey production, something truly magical takes place.

We shall then “immerse” ourselves in the world of bees and the hive to discover the honey-making process, observe beehives and their fascinating social structure, and sample a variety of honeys from diverse landscapes.
