Biographies

Joel Santos
Joel Santos is a photographer and videographer, co-author of the documentary series Mundo à Vista , Portugal à Vista and Jangadas de Pedra for SIC, SIC Notícias and OPTO. He is the author of 11 technical and documentary books, including the bestseller FOTOgrafia (10 editions). He won Travel Photographer of the Year, in 2016, and the BES/VISÃO Natureza prize, in 2005. He was editorial coordinator and director of the magazine Mundo da Fotografia Digital (2007-2010), and has been an Ambassador for Canon Portugal and Europe since 2012. He taught Economics at Díli University (2004-2006, Timor-Leste) and is also a researcher (ISEG, Portugal, 2003).
