Open-Air Amphitheatre Gulbenkian GardenMusic and dance possess a rare power. When we dance together in harmony, diversity becomes celebration. Shared movement creates a common language – one made of rhythm, breath and emotion – capable of bringing together people of different cultures, ages and backgrounds.
In what becomes a contemporary ritual of union with the Earth and with one another, through dance we come to recognise that caring for the planet also means nurturing human relationships and the living web of interdependencies that sustains us.

Folk à solta
Folk à Solta present themselves as a trio of Portuguese musicians – Otto, Miguel, and Matias – who combine violin, guitar, and cajón to create folk dances full of soul, energy, and good vibes. This format emerges from the world of Folky Bal’Boa, allowing folk dance to be adapted to different contexts without losing its essence.
With a repertoire that spans traditions from France, Turkey, Belgium, Moldova, and, of course, Portugal, they invite you to let your body and soul move to music made for dancing. If you have feet, ears, and the urge to move… you’re more than welcome to join the party!
“Let your body go, set the folk free.”
