Founded in 2006 as one of the activities of the Lisboa Cantat Musical Association, the repertoire of the Lisboa Cantat Chamber Choir is eclectic, approaching works that range from the Baroque period through to contemporary times. Since its foundation, the Choir has held over 80 concerts and has been directed by maestros such as Cesário Costa, Henrique Piloto, Laurent Wagner, Nuno Côrte-Real, Clara Coelho, Marcos Magalhães and by its resident maestro, Jorge Carvalho Alves. The choir contains 16 singers and is accompanied in this concert by the pianist Joana Barata for their performance of songs by Fernando Lopes-Graça.
