Discover the Gulbenkian Foundation Building and Garden, which are classified as a National Monument, on an exclusive tour for Cartão Gulbenkian Mais holders that highlights the relationship between the architecture and the landscape that surrounds it.
The architectural complex of the Gulbenkian Foundation was built during the 1960s according to plans by architects Alberto Pessoa, Pedro Cid and Rui Athouguia, and two landscape architects, Gonçalo Ribeiro Telles and António Viana Barreto. It is an exceptional project, in terms of size, programme and technical competence, which were decisive factors in its classification as a National Monument.
Explore the history behind this innovative project on a journey that decodes the symbiotic relationship between architecture and landscape architecture, shown here at its finest.
