IGC awarded with 4 FCT contracts
The result of the 4th competition for the Estímulo do Emprego Científico – Individual (CEEC) was announced and four researchers from the IGC were awarded. Waldan Kwong, Hannah Heil, Kyriacos Kareklas and Rui Martins are part of the list of 400 work contracts awarded by the Fundação para a Ciência e Tecnologia to researchers holding doctoral degrees in all scientific areas.
Waldan Kwong, the most recent researcher to integrate the Gulbenkian Institute, was selected in the Auxiliary Researcher category, Hannah Heil, postdoc in Ricardo Henriques´ Research Group, in the Junior Researcher category as well as Kyriacos Kareklas, postdoc in the Research Group led by Rui Oliveira, and Rui Martins, postdoc of the Research Group led by Miguel Soares.
In the 4th edition of CEEC, 3.730 applications were evaluated. The 400 selected researchers were structured into four contractual categories: Junior Investigator, Assistant Investigator, Principal Investigator and Coordinating Investigator Contracts.
The Individual CEEC is one of the financing instruments for hiring researchers and has been carried out once a year since 2018.
