The Summer School gathered experts to discuss topics such as the impact of Artificial Intelligence on museum work, participatory curatorship, collaborative networks, and the role of museums in constructing and challenging historical identities.

In their presentation, Jessica Hallett and Diana Pereira introduced Power of the Word, a participatory curatorial project that invites citizens of Lisbon to investigate the Islamic art collection of the Calouste Gulbenkian Museum, together with the curatorial and mediation teams of the Museum and invited scholars. This talk was part of the second panel of the conference, titled Participatory curatorship: democracy in action?
