Location
Multi-purpose Room Calouste Gulbenkian MuseumOver the course of two days, the workshop aims to foster the experience of creating a piece from a concept, a purpose and a personal vision.
This is an intensive workshop in which techniques are used as tools in the service of ideas, with a strong emphasis on experimentation, formal exploration, and individual expression. Participants will create forms, textures and stamps inspired by elements from the temporary exhibition The Imaginary Collection: Ceramics and Textiles by Teresa Segurado Pavão and by the natural surroundings of the Gulbenkian Garden.
The workshop is open both to participants with previous experience and to those for whom this will be their first introduction to ceramics. All materials and the firing of the finished pieces are included in the workshop fee. After the workshop, the pieces will be taken for firing and will be available for collection during the following month.
