Every drawing is an invitation to question the visible – and, in that attentive gesture, to deepen our perception and our understanding of the world to which we belong.
Over eight sessions, we will draw upon a rich diversity of works in the exhibition Art and Fashion (Arte e Moda): from Japanese draperies in embroidered silk to landscapes by French Romantic painters, by way of portraits by Renaissance masters such as Domenico Ghirlandaio.
Each work becomes a point of departure for experimenting with different approaches and processes – exploring the gaze, the gesture, and the duration of drawing. A course that invites deep looking and the cultivation of attentiveness and presence in the act of drawing.
The course is not accredited. Participants should bring their own drawing materials.
