Memoirs and Other Notes on the Experience of Creating an Artistic Project in a Prison
The Caderno de Memórias e outras Anotações sobre a Experiência de Criar um Projeto Artístico numa Prisão project describes the process of implementing the Lado P project. It is a kind of archive of memories to help anyone who wants to develop artistic projects in a prison context.
The Lado P project brought together artists and people deprived of their liberty. Through theatre, writing, music, sound and image workshops, we created a place of sharing and closeness where we told, listened to and imagined stories.
The project took place at Caxias Prison in Oeiras and was part of the PARTIS 2019-2022 programme of the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation. Lado P is a co-production between Teatro do Silêncio and Vende-se Filmes.
