Sorrisos de Porta em Porta
A project created in January 2014 by the Mundo a Sorrir organization, Sorrisos de Porta em Porta consists of the installment of oral health outposts for elderly populations who lack access to resources. Within the coming two years, this program hopes to help over 15,000 people over the age of 65 throughout the country, whether it be within their own homes or with institutions that aid the elderly. This project attempts to spread information and awareness about oral health with the help of 3,000 health professionals and social workers that provide services to this segment of the population. The project is financed by BPI (75%) and the Gulbenkian Foundation (25%).
