Ressonâncias

Sound and cultural flows of water for the integration of migrant students

'Ressonâncias' bases its artistic proposal on a range of experiments that stem from the intersection of sound and water, an element that connects us to the local area.

The project aims to empower and inspire pupils at Henrique Medina Secondary School to engage with sound-based artistic practices, encouraging them to explore the area they live in and the communities that bring it to life. Its focus is ‘water’, explored from Esposende, following the River Cávado and the River Neiva, passing along the Atlantic coast, the streams, puddles and wells, the rain that feeds all these ecosystems, and so many other places, stories, memories and experiences where water is present. The project runs sound workshops, field trips and surprise experiences, culminating in an artistic performance-installation.

Project supported under the 3rd edition of the PARTIS & Art for Change initiative, promoted by the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation and the ‘la Caixa’ Foundation.
