This initiative provides support for clinical and social intervention as a means to address the needs of disadvantaged children with neurodevelopmental disorders in the municipality of Setúbal and to promote their integration in society. In the first phase, between 2015 and 2017, the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation supported the Social Grant project, which encompassed 83 children who attended 1,064 consultations, assessments and therapeutic sessions. The first phase showed us that working with children necessarily requires working with their families and, as such, this new phase includes a parenting skills programme to help reduce risk factors within the family.
