Promoting employment in income-generating activities in the cultural sector in the PALOP countries and East Timor

A project funded by the European Union, co-financed and managed by Camões,IP and also co-financed by the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation.

The main objective is to contribute to job creation in the cultural sectors in the PALOP and East Timor by reinforcing the skills of human resources and providing funding for the development of these sectors in the PALOP and East Timor, especially in the fields of music, the performing arts and children’s literature.

In this context, the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation manages and co-funds two actions: international grant competitions and hosting artistic residencies.

International mobility

International grant competitions for artistic residencies in the fields of music and performing arts (Mobility of Artists from the PALOP-TL).

Between 2019 and 2022, 4 editions were held, with 61 grants awarded to 50 grantees:
