EU – Asia: Challenges and Future

Anticipating the High Level Summit between the European Union and India, which will take place on the 8 of May, under the Portuguese Presidency of the Council of the European Union, this conference aims to contribute to the process of analysis and formulation of the European Union’s foreign policy in its relations with Asia in general – and with India in particular.

The current international context – in which the European Union intends to reduce its dependence on China, diversifying markets and looking for strategic partners worldwide – could start a new phase in the relations between Brussels and New Delhi.

With the “EU – Asia: Challenges and Future” conference, the Future Forum aims to contribute to the debate on this relationship, the potential of which has yet to be fully realized, both at the European Union level and at the bilateral level between Portugal and India.
