Brain – Wider than the Sky

Future Forum

From 16 March to 10 June 2019, the Foundation’s main gallery hosted the scientific exhibit “Brain – Wider than the Sky”, as part of Calouste Gulbenkian’s 150th anniversary celebration. The exhibit’s goal was to present the human brain, using an interactive and innovative approach, as the universe’s most complex structure known to date.

The exhibit had around 85,000 visitors in 73 days. An activity schedule also ran during this same time, with a conference cycle and cinema cycle, to disseminate a collection of topics on the human brain and neuroscience research to a wide-ranging audience.
