Scene Machines Maintenance / Scene Assembly Technical Officer

The Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation is a private institution whose main purpose is to improve people’s quality of life through art, charity, science, and education. The Foundation carries out its activities from its headquarters in Lisbon, and from its branches in Paris and London.

We are seeking to reinforce the Central Services Scene team with a Scene Machines Maintenance / Scene Assembly Technical Officer. This technical officer shall take responsibility for carrying out the maintenance and operation of all mechanical components related to the events and shows held at the auditorium of the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, ensuring that all shows, concerts and other events are properly put together, as well as being responsible for operating and maintaining all scene machinery.

Contractual conditions: Permanent employment contract

Main Responsibilities

  • Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on all scene machinery;
  • Ensure the operation, assembly, and disassembly of scene machines;
  • Ensure compliance with all procedures, and possess technical knowledge of lifting machines;
  • Support the periodical check-up of all equipment, ensuring its good working condition;
  • Plan the various activities associated with the machines’ operations during events and shows;
  • Carry out the scene assembly in accordance with defined activity plans, while using the appropriate Personal Protective Equipment and complying with current internal standards and procedures;
  • Ensure coordination with external entities.

Required Skills

  • Technical training in Mechanics or Mechatronics;
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in similar responsibilities;
  • Good communication and teamwork skills;
  • Capable of handling lifting machines and equipment;
  • General knowledge of mechanical and mechatronic systems;
  • Knowledge of safety standards.
