The Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation is a private institution whose fundamental purpose is to improve people’s quality of life through art, charity, science, and education. The Foundation operates from its headquarters in Lisbon and delegations in Paris and London.

We are looking for an Internal Auditor to join our Audit and Risk Management team, who will be responsible for ensuring the development of audit activities, in accordance with defined norms and processes, ensuring the implementation of the audit plan, with a view to continuous improvement of the control, efficiency, and effectiveness of the processes of the Foundation.

Contractual Conditions: Permanent employment contract

Main Responsibilities

  • Ensuring that the audit plan is prepared for superior approval, making sure that it is aligned with the strategic objectives of the Foundation.
  • Identifying areas that indicate a need for deeper and more detailed analysis with a view to proposing specific audits.
  • Executing the various audits according to a previously defined plan, ensuring that they are carried out in accordance with the established rules and procedures.
  • Preparing audit reports, formalising the results obtained in them and identifying the positive points, areas for improvement and the main recommendations.
  • Ensuring the follow-up of the recommendations and respective action plans with the various departments of the Foundation.

Required skills

  • Minimum experience of 5 years in similar functions.
  • Bachelor’s degree in economics, management, or auditing.
  • SAP skills.
  • MS Office skills.
  • Fluency, both written and spoken, in Portuguese and English.
  • Ability to work in a team, organization, and planning.
  • Ability to analyze and systematize problems and solutions.
  • Rigor, autonomy, and critical thinking.
