The Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation is a private institution whose core mission is to improve people’s quality of life through the arts, philanthropy, science, and education. The Foundation carries out its activities from its headquarters in Lisbon, as well as from its delegations in Paris and London.

We are looking for an an Events Manager to join the Central Services team, who will provide support in the organisation of events and initiatives held at the Gulbenkian Foundation.

Contract Conditions: Fixed-term contract (6 months)

Main Responsibilities

  • Analyse and respond to requests for event organisation and venue usage;
  • Plan and schedule events, ensuring compatibility with other ongoing initiatives;
  • Oversee event production, coordinating resources and operational requirements;
  • Ensure cost analysis and the preparation of activity reports;
  • Liaise with different internal and external departments and stakeholders;
  • Evaluate event quality and propose continuous improvement measures.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communication, Tourism, Social Sciences, or related fields;
  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience in similar roles;
  • Strong organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills;
  • Proactive attitude, autonomy, and results-oriented mindset;
  • Good command of MS Office and English.
