The Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation is a Portuguese private-law institution of public utility, carrying out its activities from its headquarters in Lisbon and from its delegations in Paris and London. Its core purpose is to promote the improvement of the quality of life of individuals and organizations through art, science, education, and charitable initiatives, contributing to a more equitable and sustainable society.

We are seeking an Intern for Centro de Arte Moderna’s Communications Department. In a professional environment, the selected candidate will have the opportunity to acquire, develop, and deepen a set of knowledge and skills complementary to their academic background, which are fundamental for a future professional career in Cultural and Digital Communication (website and social media).

Internship Conditions

  • 12-month internship;
  • Extracurricular professional internship contract;
  • Initial and continuous training;
  • Internship allowance plus meal allowance.

Main Responsibilities

  • Develop back-office work, including the creation of pages, events, and exhibitions, as well as the addition and editing of website pages;
  • Create and manage comments, customise website themes, install and manage plugins, among other website-related tasks;
  • Create, update, and curate content and images (including video and audio, among others), while monitoring the various stages of production;
  • Produce written documentation throughout projects for management and record-keeping purposes;
  • Support the creation of content for social media platforms and image editing.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences, Multimedia, or an equivalent qualification (Level 6 of the Portuguese National Qualifications Framework);
  • Knowledge of, or ease in learning, WordPress;
  • Knowledge of image, video, and audio editing tools, namely Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Premiere, and Adobe Audition;
  • Proficiency in Portuguese and English, both written and spoken;
  • Teamwork skills;
  • Organizational and planning abilities;
  • Accuracy and autonomy;
  • Discretion and confidentiality.
