This grant supports short-term performing arts courses (masterclasses) run by artistic production organisations based in Angola, Cape Verde, Guinea-Bissau, Mozambique or São Tomé and Príncipe.

The call responds to the limited availability of training opportunities for emerging artists from Portuguese-speaking African countries and aims to strengthen their contact with contemporary practices and trends in the performing arts.

Eligible courses may cover areas such as directing and artistic direction, scenography and stage design, lighting, sound design, costume and character design, dramaturgy, among others. Courses must be led by practitioners of recognised merit, national or international.


Conditions

Institutions may receive up to €7,000 in funding, to be used exclusively for eligible expenses, as defined in the call terms.


Eligibility

Applications are open to private, non-profit artistic production organisations based in Angola, Cape Verde, Guinea-Bissau, Mozambique or São Tomé and Príncipe, with a proven track record in the local artistic scene. Each institution may submit only one application under this call.

Courses must:

  • have a minimum duration of two weeks;
  • take place by 30 November 2026;
  • be led by practitioners of recognised merit in the field of the performing arts.
