As part of the second edition of the Gulbenkian Prize for Humanity, the nominations of which are currently underway, the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation will be holding a dedicated webinar about the Prize, which includes a Q&A session about the rules and the submission of nominations.
The opening session will be held by Carlos Moedas, Trustee of the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation dedicated to Sustainable Development, and the Prize will be presented by Filipa Saldanha, Deputy Director of the Gulbenkian Sustainable Development Programme. Vice-President of the Prize jury, Miguel Bastos Araújo, one of the world’s most renowned scientists on the effects of climate change on biodiversity, will also be taking part in the webinar.

About the Gulbenkian Prize for Humanity
The Gulbenkian Prize for Humanity, which awards €1 million annually, aims at recognising people and/or organisations from across the globe that make outstanding, innovative and impactful contributions to help mitigate and adapt to climate change.
This initiative underscores the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation’s commitment to urgent climate action and strengthens its contribution to the transition to a carbon-neutral society that is more resilient and better prepared society for future global change.
