Guided tour of the exhibition The Transient Force of Things by Diogo Pimentão, an exhibition presenting works that mostly result from performative actions carried out by the artist in collaboration with Emmanuel Eggermont.

Diogo Pimentão (Lisbon, 1973) centers his work on an experimental practice that redefines drawing. In his process, he mainly uses paper and graphite, sometimes combined with cement, acrylic plaster, or wood, and also works with video and performance, creating pieces that challenge the traditional boundaries of the discipline.

The artist understands the exhibition space as a pre-existing drawing – a structure that already carries a great deal of information. Every gesture that occurs within it leaves a mark on the space and on the person who passes through it.

It is through movement, confrontation, exchange, and action that knowledge and understanding are produced.
