On this tour, the curator Ana Maria Campino also looks at the history of the display cases devoted to the Museum’s European books and graphic documents – works that return periodically to storage for conservation reasons.

A selection of masterpieces from the European books and drawings has been chosen to mark the Museum’s reopening.

On display are works by well-known artists, such as Fragonard and Boucher, and by others less familiar who are nonetheless true superstars, their works remarkable for their historical importance and exceptional quality.

On this tour, the curator Ana Maria Campino also looks at the history of the display cases devoted to the Museum’s European books and graphic documents – works that return periodically to storage for conservation reasons. Come and discover the wealth of illuminated manuscripts, of exquisite books and drawings made between the sixteenth and eighteenth centuries, and of masterpieces of nineteenth- and twentieth-century bookbinding now on show in the Museum galleries.
