How do we see – and what do we really see? Does looking always mean seeing? Are there ways of looking that don’t involve thinking? How do we read a work of art? 

Based on a selection of works from the Modern Art Centre, this visit explores perception and interpretation, encouraging students to observe, discuss, take decisions, and choose viewpoints when engaging with art – drawing on their own references as well as contextual information.
