Official opening of the EU Green Week 2020

The Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, in partnership with the Lisbon City Council, will be hosting the EU Green Week Opening Event.
Internationally renowned scientists and policymakers will meet to discuss the contribution biodiversity can make to society and the economy, and the role it can play in supporting and stimulating recovery in a post-pandemic world, bringing jobs and sustainable growth.
The conference is part of the Lisbon European Green Capital 2020 initiatives.
About the EU Green Week
Promoted by the European Commission, EU Green Week is the biggest annual event on European environmental policies and this year will take place on 19-22 October, focusing on the theme nature and biodiversity.
