As part of the Great Works exhibition, which highlights Art Deco works from the Gulbenkian Collection, we invite families to a dance workshop, where parents and children share simple Jazz steps, kicks and twists!

100 years ago, Paris was a vibrant city full of new things: while Calouste Gulbenkian was dazzled by the modernity of Art Deco, the city’s nights were filled with new jazz rhythms!

A workshop led by teacher Cátia Fonseca, from the Little Big Apple School, which celebrates African-American culture of the 1920s in an atmosphere of joy and expression, promoting well-being and strengthening community ties.

Practical clothing is recommended for dancing. In the event of adverse weather conditions, this event will take place in Room 1.
