Exhibition that marks the integration of the archive in the Library's collection and the centenary of the sculptor's birth. Documents from the archive and some pieces from the collection of the Modern Art Centre (CAM) can be seen here.

The archive of Jorge Vieira, composed by a diversified set of documents that testify the artistic and pedagogical path of the sculptor, became part of the collection of the Art Library in 2021, through a donation of his widow, the sculptor Noémia Cruz.

The exhibition includes books, catalogues, exhibition leaflets, press cuttings, correspondence, sketches, and drawings, as well as plaster and metal models of works. In addition to the documents from the estate, works from the Centro de Arte Moderna (CAM) collection by Jorge Vieira can also be seen.

The Jorge Vieira archive is added to the archives of Alberto Carneiro, Fernando Calhau, Helena Almeida and David de Almeida, and the Art Library is consolidated as a benchmark institution for the study and understanding of Portuguese artistic production between the second half of the 20th century and the first decades of the present century.
