Leo Genovese Piano

Pedro Branco Electric guitar
João Lencastre Composition, Drums
After an explosive performance at the last Jazz in August with an expanded version of his project Communion, João Lencastre returns with a quartet in which it is less about foregounding his qualities as a composer and more about his natural propensity for musical risk taking without a safety net and the unpredictability that every moment can bring. Apropos of a tour as a trio with Leo Genovese and Drew Gress, the drummer recorded Safe in Your Own World with guitarist Pedro Branco which built upon this urgency and the moments of discovery between four musicians who had never met before. It is to this place of revelation that they now return, as if visiting it for the first time.
Safe in your own world by João Lencastre
