This workshop is designed for the project's trainers and pupils, teaching them about the stop motion technique used to create animated short films.

Following a brief presentation on the various stages of the project and the co-created films, workshop participants will be invited to collaborate on a short animated film.

The Histórias sem Fronteiras project uses animated cinema to highlight the diversity of backgrounds, experiences and cultures in schools, contributing to the integration of migrant populations within the school community and wider society.

The Histórias sem Fronteiras project is promoted by Hirundo and sponsored by the PARTIS & Art for Change initiative.

Registration form available from January 26th.

About the project

Histórias sem Fronteiras uses storytelling and animated cinema to encourage the integration of young migrants and their families into schools and wider society. Taking inspiration from Hirundo’s international project, “Open Camp: a new Narrative from Children in Refugee Camps”, pupils of the Pedrouços School Group learn to create animated short films using sand, objects and shadows, based on the stories and experiences of migrant pupils.
