The exhibition Gulbenkian, 70 years Post it! presents a selection of 70 posters from the collection, alongside other graphic materials relating to a wide range of activities organised or supported by different departments of the Foundation throughout its 70 years of existence.
In addition to documenting the breadth and diversity of the Foundation’s programme in the fields of education, art, science and philanthropy, these posters stand out for the quality and variety of their graphic language. They were created by Portuguese artists and designers from different generations, including Marcelino Vespeira, Sebastião Rodrigues, Alda Rosa, José Brandão, Jorge Silva, Vivó Eusébio and Change is Good. The exhibition also includes posters produced in more recent years by international designers such as Ian Anderson (The Designers Republic) and Kiko Farkas.
Produced by the Gulbenkian Art Library and Archives, and curated by Ana Barata, the exhibition forms part of the programme marking the 70th anniversary of the Foundation.
