Resulting from a partnership between the Orquestra Geração (Generation Orchestra), El Sistema Portugal and the Hot Clube School of Jazz, Gerajazz has been enthusiastically received by students, teachers and audiences in general. Its repertoire is influenced by a range of sounds, such as Herbie Hancock’s modal jazz, Jaco Pastorius’ and Nina Simone’s funk soul swing and Art Blakey’s drums, among others.
