DJ Lycox is one of the most talented and influential producers in the contemporary urban/club ecosystem sustained by the afro-diasporic rhizome. Born in Portugal of Angolan descent, he is currently based in Paris. A wonderful mind and a graceful spirit, he is also part of the Tia Maria Produções team, with whom he released the landmark EP Tá Tipo Já Não Vamos Morrer in 2014 by Príncipe Discos label. His debut solo LP, Sonhos & Pesadelos, arrived in Lisbon by the end of 2017, showcasing Lycox’s unique talent in this new generation of producers who transform kuduro into something difficult to catalogue.

In 2020 he shared his EP Kizas do Ly, a reinvention of the concept of Kizomba and a beautiful rhythm & sounds psalm for Love and, in October 2021, LYCOXERA, a surpassing collection of dancefloor bangers, with a mix of Batida, Kuduro and Afro House in the raw, frenetic-funk and unmatched style that marks Príncipe’s records.
