This event brings together leaders from the arts, philanthropy and policy sectors to shape a vision for a stronger, more connected and socially impactful European arts ecosystem. Through panel discussions and presentations, participants will explore practical ways to raise the profile of socially engaged arts and strengthen this field of practice across Europe.

Organised by a partnership of leading European philanthropic foundations, this event highlights the role of arts and culture as a powerful force for positive change.

The event will take place in English and is interpreted in International Sign Language.

Social engagement is gaining traction in arts policy and funding. It is increasingly seen as reinforcing, not detracting from, artistic value, with audiences calling upon arts organisations to proactively respond to societal issues. However, support for socially engaged arts remains inconsistent. This session brings together public and private actors to explore their approaches in supporting arts for social impact and discuss opportunities for scaling its reach across Europe.
